Bastardproduktion är en plattform för teater, dans och film och har funnits sedan 2004. Den har etablerat sig som en av Sveriges mest innovativa grupper inom scenkonstproduktion och arbetar i nära dialog med sin publik i hela den konstnärliga processen.

Bastardproduktion genomsyras av en ambition att ständigt söka nya arbetsmetoder och har en passion för att utforska sociala fenomen i vår tid. Gruppens tre medlemmar arbetar tillsammans, i enskilda projekt och med andra inbjudna konstnärer. De är bastardiska nomader som utforskar möten mellan strukturer, människor, konstformer, institutioner och organisationer. Genom att vara en rörlig aktör som sätter stort värde på dialog vill Bastardproduktion ompröva gränser och skapa nya plattformer för scenkonst och film i olika former.

Bastardproduktion is a constellation of makers and doers within the theatre, dance and film fields, founded in 2004. Since then Bastardproduktion has established itself to be one of the most innovative performing arts production platforms in Sweden.

What permeates Bastardproduktion work is a continual search for new forms of working methods, a passion to explore social phenomenon of our time and working in close contact with the audience throughout the whole artistic process.

The three members of the group either work together or in individual projects or together with other invited artists. They are nomads exploring the meeting point between structures, people, art forms, institutions and organisations. By being a nomadic agent with great focus on dialogue, Bastardproduktion wants to re-create and co-create new platforms for performing arts in different forms.

Sandra Medina is an actress and dancer based in Stockholm.

She’s currently an actressmember in the worldly famous national theatre for young and children Susan Osten’s Unga Klara and a recurring performer of the Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, the Northern Europe’s largest cultural institution of Stockholm.

With more than 30 years of experience her career is marked by a rich diversity of work across drama, comedy, music theatre, dance performances, experimental projects, TV and film and voice work.

She is a strong ensemble actress who thrives on the collective parts of the work as well as having a lot of experience in monologs and solo works.

Educated as a professional dancer at the Royal Swedish ballet school, candidate as an actress at Stockholms Teaterhögskola, master in New performative practices at SKH, Music theatre HT 20.

Best Actress in Venezian shorts festival and international shorts festival in the short film “Atonement”, you can see her in the crime serie “The detective from Beledweyne” and “Spung” a cult series from early 2000 (both available on SVT), and other roles in Swedish film and TV productions.

Since 2001 she has also done her own work mostly in the shape of different interesting collaborations exploring new methods and hybrids of art. Many times this has been realized through this platform Bastardproduktion.
